Looking for ways for my sons to communicate long distance?

My son & my stepson are very close. They go into almost into their own little world so to speak when they are together. They are 11 & 14 & both have forms of autism. They both get upset when its time for my stepsons visit is over so we are looking into ways they can communicate for the 12 days in between visits. My stepson lives about 70 miles away so walkie-talkies are not an option. We would like to find a way, an inexpensive way, for them to be able to communicate with each other other than just calling each other on the phone. We thought of maybe getting them cell phones so they could text each other back & forth but I don't know how they would handle that. I'm not able to afford full keyboard phones for them & I'm not sure they could handle using the 'old fashioned' way of texting. Any other ideas?

You are not a looser, this economy is aweful right now and it is not your fault. Even though these jobs are asking for 5-7 yrs experience you should still apply. Many people are in the situation you are in. My family is struggling right now too. But we take it day by day. We have each other and that is the most important thing. Life will get easier, you just have to have the right attitude, suicide never helps anything. Without these hard in our life we would never appreciate when the good ones come along. Life always has it's highs and lows. But all in all, it's what you make of it and your attitude in life that matters most. Start envisioning yourself in a job you love with a woman you love and keep doing that until it happens. If you think negatively then the things you truly want will not manifest. My adult stepson is ruining my household.?

When my stepson comes home from COLLEGE, why does my wife put our relationship on hold?

Yes I give my teens $5 dollars a week for the chores they do. I wouldn't personally have a problem with $20 a week as long as he is buying everything himself -clothes, movie tickets, fast food - anything that's not a necessity etc. I'm going to side with your husband on an after school job - it'll take away his study time and time with friends sure he'll have money to buy things. He doesn't need things. Maybe during the summer he doesn't have any bills and should be able to save up a lot.

Ways to encourage my baby to walk?

Just so we're clear, I do not want to force her to do anything (if I had it my way she wouldn't have started crawling). I want some ways in which I can encourage her to take her first steps, I know as her Mother I have to encourage her no matter how badly I want her to stay my tiny baby. She's 1, can stand up unaided for as long as she likes, but she gets distracted very easily. She has 2 different walkers, one with lots of buttons and spinny things the other is a Quad bike. Everytime she walks around on one of these we shout and clap out hands and she gets loads of praise, she can walk around just holding onto one of our hands and she's putting no weight on it atall, we make it a game for her by walking round, then spinning suddenly, and chasing people. She has taken a step on her own, but as soon as she goes to take that second step her confidence fades and she falls. I know she can do it, she just need the confidence to let go and go for it. What are the ways you encourage your children? I'm happy to leave her to do it in her own time as I know she will, I do NOT want to force her into doing anything. What's a diet and exercise plan to help me lose 35 pounds in 2 to 3 months?

Right now I'm 6 foot and weigh 215 and I'd like to get down to 180 by August or September. So my horse got sick with colic at the end of march, really sick, he was kept at the vets clinic for 3 days On fluids. Thank God and knock on wood he had been fine since however he lost about 75 lbs. 3-month old baby to Disney World?! What to do?!?

I would highly recommend bringing your own stroller. One of those easy to fold up if she will fit in it otherwise I believe its $10 a day for a stroller to rent and I don't quite remember what they look like. You should definitely have hats for baby to cover her from the sun, short sleeves and dresses or shorts. Also take advantage of fast pass! Right when you get to a park map out what rides you definitely have to go on and head over to that ride to see if they have fast pass available. This is a ticket that is free that shows 2 different times on it and these times are when you can come back to the ride and bypass the line! Also there are "nursing" stations all throughout disney where mom can go to breastfeed if you still do, change diapers and just rest in an air conditioned enviorment with baby. If all the adults want to go on a ride I would also ask the employee at the ride about ride swap. This is where for example one adult stays out with baby and the other goes on the ride with the 4 year old and then the 4 year old gets to go again immediately with the other parent! Its really awesome! Also I would recommend checking out a website called allears.net its a great site for everything about the parks! I went in November and loved it!

The defamation suit is a waste of time. If it were me and I was accused of using PED's, I would be pissed off, but I wouldn't sue anyone. Suing Mayweather would not stop the fans from accusing him of cheating. If I know I'm innocent then I just go about my business or I take the test to clear things up. His mother (my new wife) refused to do a good job of disciplining him and he was out of control. I used to just tell him that once in a while but he still acted out. Disturbing behavior in child.?

First, let me say that I realize that no opinions or advice I get here should substitute for a professional opinion. Now that I have gotten my little disclaimer out of the way, here is my situation: I have an 11-year-old Stepson who displays certain behaviors that I find to be a bit odd. First, he displays odd physical manifestations, He never wants to go outside. However, when he does he paces back and forth swinging his arms, while making noises with his mouth. He displays a complete lack of any awareness of social cues. It is bad enough that because he does not pick up on non-verbal signals, people are sometimes forced (reluctantly) to be a bit rude to him because he does not seem to pickup on subtle communication. When he comes up to me to talk, he gets so close that I have to physically place him at arms length and then explain to him (over and over) about personal space. He displays a total disregard for the needs and even safety of others so that he can get what he wants. For example, just a few months ago a new video game had been released that he wanted. His mother explained to him that the roads were too unsafe to drive on and he would have to wait. His response was to ask her if I could just go. He does not treat me with any respect at all. There have been times when I thought we were making progress. I would sit down and talk to him and tell him that I was there for him, etc., he would cry and I would think things would be better, we finally had a mutual respect and the next day he is back to his old self. He shows zero appreciation for anything people do for him or anything people buy for him, acting as if it is his just due. However, my biggest concern is his complete lack of empathy. After having observed him and his lack of any reaction when exposed to emotionally provocative imagery, I had him take an empathy test. His score was a 30, which, according to the test instructions, was very low. Please know that I am aware that I am no expert, but I am intelligent and observant enough to realize that something just isn't right here. Also know that there are many more example I could give, but I narrowed them down. Please give me any opinions or advice you can.

Some birds like " Green Cheeked Conure's " are pretty quite and are loving and cheeky. Only certain birds make a lot of noise, Birds make great pets! And if you want a cat it depends on the dog if they will be ok with it or not. When I got a cat I also had a dog which was real vicious to other living things INCLUDING other dogs, so I put the cat in a kennle box and put the cat in the lounge room for 3 hours guarding the cat and watching the dog getting use to the cat.

My husband is 29, I am 21. We have a 1 year old & a stepson who is 12. I don't have any family where I live, all my family is up north. My husband complains about his job, he's always miserable, never wants to have sex. He works during the day and I take care of our daughter. He told me that our marriage isn't going to work out because it takes two people to work and raise a family. My father supports my mother & my mother works. I had taken a leave from school, to work because we needed the money, but when I went to tell my work I was going back to school they told me they couldn't work with my hours.. so I quit. Then he says you should have went back on the day you were suppose to for school, so then I tell him I want to go back to school right now but I want to go to a different school. When I called THAT school they didn't have openings until september so I figured I would apply for a 4 year college. He tells me he's not going to be the only one working while I go to school. I don't have any family down here, his parents are sick, so who's going to watch my daughter if we both work and go to school. We can't afford daycare because money is so tight right now. He always knocks me down for everything, and I don't know if I should just leave him.

Husband's exwife likes to call me names on facebook. What can I do about it?

My husbands ex wife is a bully. She has never liked me from the start. I helped raise her son and put up with her bulling for 8 yrs. Now she doing it on facebook on her son's page that has pictures of him. Everytime I make a simple comment, she writes me back with harassment. I saved one of her emails because it was so hurtful and packed with insults towards me. Two months ago, she sent me a friend request wanting to be my friend, which now she denies that. *****. Anyway, what can I do about all of this? I love my stepson and we are friends and I want to be in his life now. Unfortunately, his mother and I are linked together on his page. I have to be the bigger person there and watch what I say to him in fear of her insulting me. I need help and someone to assist me in fighting her with some smart criticisms. How to keep my cat out of my daughter's room?

We just recently got a cat a little over a week ago. We are trying to keep him out of my daughter's room because she has her guinea pig in there and he likes to jump on the table where the guinea pig is which scares her guinea pig. I have tried keeping her door shut but that doesn't really work because her door handle is broke and you can just push the door open. Also the cat has already figured that out. When I see him walking towards her room I have tried clapping my hands or making some kind of loud noise but he just turns around and stares at me like I'm crazy lol. I was thinking about getting a baby gate but I figured he could just jump over it. We tried "boundary spray" with out previous cat and that didn't work for her. I know every cat is different but I don't want to waste my money on it if it doesn't work. Anyone have any ideas what I can do?

What does my chaffinch want?

There is a chaffinch in the tree in my garden. He is constantly making a noise every second. Its a single noise and not a song. It is a male chaffinch and will do this noise for hours and hours. Pretty much all day only stopping when he briefly feeds or when the sun goes down. It is not like any chaffinch call ive ever heard and the mating season is over (it being end June now and their mating period is supposed to be April). Ive reasearched their calls and it is definately not this and I am absolutely certain its a male chaffinch. Ive grown fond of the bird but the noise is irritating a lot of my neighbours. One of them shoots squirrels im worried he might shoot this bird if it continues to annoy everyone. What causes a bird to change its call? Ive clapped my hands at it to tests its hearing. It moved to another branch when i did, but that could have been from the vibrations of the clap. Any light on this subject would be amazing thankyou.

Why Do Doctors In Arkansas act like Patients are Idiots?

I was referred to EVER TOUCHED my body and told me there was trouble with C-3, C-4 , C-5 and C-6 in my neck. And narrowing in 6 places of my spine. He said he could see something wrong with either my heart or lungs. There was clouding over my neck area where my neck joins my body. He never once touched my body or my spine at anytime. Told me he wanted me to have a Chest, Lung and Heart Xray done to see what was wrong. But then in the next sentence said he wanted me walking 3 mile 3 times a day. Said I was a little over weight. I know this. I have degenerative bone disease of my hips and walking across the floor is a Challenge most days. Just getting off the bed of a morning is painful. I wake up at least 3 times a night in pain. He told me to take Ibprofen for the pain. And sent me to physical therapy for some exercises for my neck and back. And they want me to get this traction device to put 20 pounds of traction on my neck 4 times a day for 30 minutes at a time. I told him I had trouble even walking 25 maybe 50 feet to my mailbox without being in such pain In my hip I wanted to scream. I got to the mailbox one day last week and almost past out from the shooting pain in my left hip. It feel like the Ball is trying to break off my hip bone or my pelvic bone is breaking. But he did not even seem to care. I asked what was causing the Numbness in my arms and legs and he basically said because I was fat and Lazy. And never answered any of my Questions. All he said was that what I have is Hereditary I got it from my mother and my ancestors. I said what do I have and he said Exercise is the key do it for 6 months to stregthen my back and then we will see if we need to do surgery. But after he said something was WRONG with the Heart or Lungs I am scared to do the exercises and or start the walking 3 mile from home. My husband is a truck driver and gone at least 16 hours a day. So I will have to walk by myself. I suggested getting a treadmill at least I could walk in the house still get my 3 mile in and be safe doing it. Where if something happened I could be by the phone to call for help. The doctor said NO walk outside and by a year I should be able to walk 3 mile in 45 minutes 3 times a day. When I was young and in Better health I could not walk 3 mile a day. I had Spinal Meningitus at 2 months old and was told all my life I would be lucky to walk past 30 I will be 50 in 30 days. I have degenerative Spinal Disc Disease. Arthritis Of the Spine and Degenerative Bone Disease. But the back Doctor Did not even seem to care. What I told him. He said do the exercises and we will see in 6 months.

What can you say about my current status as a college freshman?

I am a computer engineering student, and I'm studying at a computer college (I would not like to specify the name for privacy) here in the Philippines. I graduated from a science high school here in our province. As many people know, the curriculum in schools like that are more advanced than national high schools'. So I used to experience a slightly "advanced learning", if you know what I mean. Then when our classes have started, the lessons introduced to us were a bit easy than expected. I looked forward for some harder lessons, but what I got are the basic ones. I am kind of disappointed until now and I have nothing else to do but to adapt with the education they give. Besides, I think the essence of college education are those killer essays, brain twisting math problems, etc. but I guess it really depends on your school. My solution is to not just rely on everything that the school will offer, I will challenge myself and push harder for further education. Good thing there's the internet with lots of websites that can help me with their learning resources. And another thing, the reason why I want to challenge myself is to unleash more of my hidden potentials and to be competent.

probation Felony bail is $100,000. Two different counties in Texas. Can we take care of the first bail and get the second case expedited? He has been in jail for 3 days and hasn't seen a judge. Was told today he would see a judge 30 days after arrest which would not be until June 17. Want to get him out asap. Any suggestions? Your trying too hard. You must remember he'll never love you anything like a real mother therefore just lay off him. He'll snap outa it but at that age you have so many hormones running about its very hard. Just give him some slack and leave him be.

No, she is not your responsibility. If she has your stepson, then you need to tell her that if she doesn't have the money to take care of him she shouldn't be seeing him. It is not your responsibility to provide her with money. She is an adult. Tell her if she can't afford camp don't send them. Your stepsons will see they can't rely on her.

What are easy and fun everyday ways to improve one's vocabulary? I always want to improve myself, especially intellectually. I enjoy these challenges but want it to be in a fun/not stressful sort of way. I watch old movies almost everyday and sometimes read a challenging novel (like Dickens). But still, I want more ideas? My stepson is dead and everyone is blaming me for his death and hates me?

3 months ago, my stepson was killed in a head on collision. He was 29 and I’ve been in his life since he was 3, but for the past 14 years, we haven’t really spoken. When I first met my husband he had been divorced 2 years and had his son on weekends. He was unlike any other guy I had ever known and I immediately fell in love with him, but not his son. I was only 24 and had no children myself so I didn’t have a lot of patience for him so generally, weekends sucked for me. I married him father when he was 7. I’m very ashamed to admit this but I felt as though my husband would have been perfect if he didn’t have a child. I didn’t like “sharing” him with his son so in the first few years, I wasn’t exactly the kindest stepmother. I wasn’t completely terrible, but he knew not to depend on me for anything. We did not get along at all. He knew that I was happy when he wasn’t around and enjoyed giving me hell when he was. My husband always tried to break up our fights but in reality, he didn’t do much to prevent another. It wasn’t until I had a child of my own did I see the error of my ways. When I had my first daughter, I tried to be a better step mom but it was too late. He was 14 and I guess tired of putting up with me. Hatred doesn’t quite describe how he felt about me. We did nothing but argue for a year until he turned 15, then he just stopped talking to me. I mean literally he stopped. Imagine getting the silent treatment for 3 years, trust me it’ll drive anyone crazy. That was the point of no return. Me and my husband tried reaching out but he continued to ignore us on his visits. The last thing he said to me before college was “I never will think about you again. Have a nice life.” He cut all communication with us for 6 years. My husband was pretty devastated. He still talked to other family members and our children when he could but acted as though we didn’t exist at family functions. No calls, no cards, nothing. We weren’t invited to his wedding, we never got to see his children face-to-face, graduation totally excluded. So 3 months ago, I was out with a girlfriend who took me to a business/birthday party for someone at her job. His wife works for the company so they were both there as well. She had to leave early so he was alone and I decided to go over and talk to him. When he saw me coming, he headed for the exit. I thought I’ve been walked away from and ignored for the last time and I chased after him. We got into a heated argument outside and he told me that he’s always hated me and to leave him alone. I was hurt so I told him to go to hell and he said “I’ll see you there” got into his car and sped off. 6 blocks later, he collided with another driver who was drunk and died. Me and my husband were not allowed to attend the funeral. We showed up anyway but there was a huge fight and we were escorted out. We drove to the gravesite, but another fight broke out. My husband won’t even look at me. My children won’t talk to me and everyone on his side and the mother’s are saying its my fault he’s dead. His wife came over the other day to get some old things of his and she gave me no eye contact. I told her my husband would love to see the children, but she said “I don’t think Nik would like that.” My life is in shambles. I know I brought some of this on myself, but I have literally groveled for forgiveness but he didn’t want to forgive me. I think my husband hates me. I’m so stressed out and depressed and I don’t know what to do. Will it ever get better for me?

I have put several questions of how to lose weight. School got out last week and I've started eating healthy and doing aerobic exercises for 1 1/2 hours. Well yesterday my family and I went to family friends' house for dinner. The lady said this to my mom "Don't tell her but damn she is fat, she really needs to workout... your so skinny and pretty what the hell happened to your daughter." And I overheard my mom and she was laughing... I feel really sad. I'm 5 2'' and I weigh 127 pounds. At my 8th grade graduation I recieved the highest award- Scholor of the year and girl of the year. I have maintained a 4.0 gpa. When I went up to get the award nobody clapped and cheered for me and my dad said "Nobody likes you, of course you are so fat and ugly..why would anybody like you?" I have tried so hard to contain myself but I cry myself to sleep and smile but on the indside I'm crying... My parents don't appreciate me and they call me fatty and put me down. The woman who's house we were at for dinner even said "She probably got that award because all her teachers feel sorry for her." Why is it me that everyone hates? I try my best to be a good person, and this is what I get? I'm not thinking of suicide or anything, but it seems like I'm living in hell. What should I do????????

5 year old regressing in potty training...?

My 5 year old has been potty trained since before he was 3. He is my stepson and I am the one that trained him (He has slight fetal alcohol syndrome from his birth mother, which make him behind in speech and socialization). He has always been so good at going to the bathroom, even at night! But now all of a sudden he is pooping his pants every day. There has been no change in our home except his 19 month old brother is trying to use the potty. We always make sure to let him know that our little one needs to use the potty and he is so wonderful at showing him how! I don't know what to do to help him use the bathroom again. He thinks it is funny that he poops his pants. I don't think it is attention because he won't tell us when he goes. He just sits in it until we find it and then he says that it's not his fault. I would appreciate any suggestions on how to remedy this problem. Please, no rude remarks as this is a serious problem.

Query about driving licence address?

Basically, my stepson spends almost all his time in London, and rents furnished flats on short term leases so he moves usually at least once a year. Would it be legal for him to put our address as his home address on his driving licence so that he wouldn't have to go to the trouble of sending to the DVLA for a new one every few months? I can't see a problem as travellers must put an address on their licenses which they must rarely reside at. Anyone with real knowledge of this and not just guesswork please help.

Next week I will be meeting my future stepson for the first time, and I desperately need advice!?

My fiance has a 3 and a half year old son who I will be meeting for the first time next week. I am so nervous, I just want everything to go well. My fiance and I have been together for over a year, and the entire time he has done nothing but struggle with his ex. She filed a restraining order when they broke up, for no reason, other than to gain full custody. After the year order was up she filed through the court for full custody but dropped it a few weeks ago after months of waiting and fighting. Now she is moving back to Michigan to be with her new boyfriend, who happens to live here in Michigan as we do. All of the sudden her boyfriend has convinced her to have a change of mind and is willing to let my fiance finally see his son. We (me, my fiance, his son, the mother, and new bf) will all be meeting up in a public setting, to 'reintroduce' my future step son to my fiance, since he might not remember him well. Keep in mind the mother still hates my fiance and me a great deal, she is only doing this because her new bf is understanding on my fiances part. My question is, has anyone else gone through this? How should I act in front of his mother, as to not anger her angry or make her feel like im not intruding? Would it be inappropriate to hug him? Should I stay silent and let only my fiance be involved and wait til we have him alone to try to bond with him and start a relationship? This first meeting is critical, and im just so scared and nervous! Please, and advice would help!

You could try out every single subject you want to do, and see if it fits you, if it don't, move on to something else until you find something that suits you. Not everybody knows what they want to do with their life at your age. It's okay, your just starting out. So the more things you see and try out, it makes you closer to finding something you truely enjoy doing.

I would keep dating him until I'm at least 20. If you're still together you can think about taking things more seriously. You're so young and there's so much baggage around all of this, let things continue the way they are, and decide what to do later if your relationship is still going on when you're older.

I cosigned for Harley for stepson - he filed Chapter 13 then changed to Chapter 7 without informing me. Harley was repossed, now I am questioned by bank. when will I pay remaining $10,600? The bank never notified me that stepson was late on payments, or that the Harley was to be repossed?? Was the bank legally responsible to contact me??

From personal experience I see that too many people that shouldn't have children are having babies like it's OK. I feel so sorry for the sorrow, and misfortunes these poor children have to go through just because young people think their grown,and it's b/c of people who think just b/c they can, they have children senselessly. I have learned through my own experience that I shouldn't have had children being that I was still trying to cope, and recover from a drastic childhood that I experienced and had no one to help me deal with. If I knew then what I know now, I wouldn't of had my children at the time I had them. I believe a lot of our hardships now is b/c of my lack of knowledge, wisdom, maturity, etc, etc, I was emotionally damaged, mentally confused, and disturbed. There is so much more that meets the eye to raising healthy children. If I had enough money I would become an advocate for children, trying to educate young people, to avoid, prevent, and think hard not to have children aimlessly. So many of us are not ready to bring another little people into this world that's all ready so challenging, and corrupted. Please try to Consider Adoption, giving your child to someone that can afford to give your child a better chance in life. Prevention, so not to bring in misery for everyone, including the child when you're not ready for the child. Think, think, think, not of yourself but for this innocent, helpless little human being that knows nothings of what's to come if you're not ready to bring them up as they so well deserve.

I put my rings in his valentines card as he is on a dating line as a single man and claims he's romantic. i found them 3 months later cleaning up my shelves tucked away. He said he wanted me to know he's friends when he came back and to have more to do with my friends and family. He then started going out and said i couldn't come. He would never compliment me and when i was crying with a bad gastric attack. he got annoyed cause i woke him up. we have been in separate beds for 5 months now. i make family meals, and when i was unwell he just fed himself. I've given this man a chance to be apart of my family again but he said he's step children have nothing to do with him, but if people are around he seems very concerned and caring. Last month i broke down in my car with my children and still had to do another 10 miles to get to our son, i rang him as he was only around the corner helping a friend and said he'd be back by 4pm, which was about that time. He snapped at me that he was all alone with his mates girlfriend and there was nothing he could do. So i reminded him i was his wife and his child was stuck 10 miles away. He turned up with some jump leads claiming that he'd told he's friends that i'd been ringing him all day giving him abuse?? what the ****!!. So he stayed out until 11pm, no text no nothing. Unless you want to air your dirty linen publicly on Dr. Phil; you should demand a family mtg. This is abuse and like all abuse starts of with a nudge and then escalates. This person is going to eventually affect your marriage. Sit down and talk; make sure that you are respectful. I know confrontation is hard. Waiting could lead to an explosive one. Maybe this young man has other issues and as a non blood relative; you are an easy target. You don't want him as a paradigm for the younger ones or to change the focus to the younger children. Talk with your wife to assure that she is not afraid or that there has been behavior in the past that necessitated outside intervention-like the police. She needs to get on board. If the family discussions don't work; seek professional assistance. You can begin alone and then see if the family would like to participate. Let a cooler head prevail but again get help. My stepdaughter has decided to separate from her husband and they have two young kids together. They rent a house from us just up the street. Someone stole my stepson's cell phone today. It's through T Mobile and we're working with them on it now. We have also been trying to call the number nonstop. My children have each called me by my first name once. I very quickly explained that is not acceptable at all to call me by my first name. I don't think it has ever happened that they were trying to get my attention that bad that they would need to use my first name. Maybe try answering your child when he needs your attention. But for it to be required event at school, well, she's taking advantage of her job. I would definitely call the school, and if they don't do anything about it, just don't go. Mother-in-Law treats my child different?

Ok so my boyfriend and I have been together for about a year and a half, we've been living together for about six months now. He has a almost 3 year old from a previous relationship and I have a 20 month old son also from a previous relationship. His mother is the sweetest woman, she has always been good to my son and I but when it comes to the boys it is obvious she favors her grandson. However, I do feel that at least when she is around both the boys at the same time she should treat them equally. My family, mostly my mother is the same. If my son asks for a popsicle, she will bring one for the other boy too, if my son snatched a toy from my stepson my mother will snatch it and give it back, on christmas she did my more gifts for my son, but she kept them at her house and allowed him to open them when he was there alone. She bought both the boys a gift of equal value for them to take home. On Easter, she made all of her grandchildren baskets including my stepson. She asked me what he needs for his bday because she'd like to buy him a gift. My son wants to play outside, she invites the stepson. She does these things because he is part of the family now. Now my mother in law, will buy things for her grandson and give it to him right infront of my child, my son stares and reaches his little hand to have his stepbrother pull back and say "no! mine!" She takes him for walks, never invites my little boy. She does these things all of the time. Pregnant with first child and feel like marriage is falling apart?

Last year, I got married to my best friend. We had little arguments here and there but who doesn't. I am now 23 weeks pregnant and I feel like my whole marriage is crumbling. How do i keep my male cat from attacking my other male cat?

I have three cats, one of which is female. I have a Bengal cat, who is very active and a few years old, and he is constantly attacking my other male, who is very mellow and a little older. However, he does not attack the female. There are scabs all over the older cat's neck and I hear them fighting at least a few times a day. This has been going on for a while, but has gotten worse over time. The older cat never instigates and always minds his own business. My Bengal cat is always the one to start the fight and is almost never injured. I have tried making loud noises like clapping my hands, tried throwing a pillow near them to startle the Bengal, and physically pulling them away from each other. There's never really time for me to grab a spray bottle, and I don't think it would work because the Bengal is pretty nonplussed about nearly everything. While on vacation in Galveston I came across a stray who decided it would camp on our dock for three days straight. She is very sweet but I think something is wrong with her. Possible blind, and deaf. She also sneezing a lot. The reason I think she may be blind and deaf is because she reacts very little to me waving my hand in front of her face. When I do this it's like she notices it then loses sight of it, even when I only wave it slowly. Also I clapped really loud directly in front of her face and she did not react what so ever. She just sat there. I'm wondering if she is just maybe mentally retarded or if she is really bind/deaf. Oh and she is eating and drink fine, but not using the litter box.

Well, over 90% pass boot camp, and the 10 that fail because of things like refusal to do anything and drugs. Things like that. So, you'll pass without a doubt. And about you being ready, I say yeah. Like you said, running wise, you'll get it in the limit no doubt. You should be good with pushups and all that too, they give you time to adjust, you don't have to come in as iron man. I recommend trying pull ups too though. Good luck man.

Suspect a family member of drug use, don't know what to do?

My stepdaughter has decided to separate from her husband and they have two young kids together. They rent a house from us just up the street. Last night she came over to talk and her appearance made me suspect that she was on some drug. She looked exhausted, had just showered, and her pupils were tiny pin pricks. She has recently begun hanging around a crowd that is known for partying and has proclaimed that she no longer is in love with her husband and wants to separate. Her husband is beside himself and has mentioned that they were partying with this crowd and using drugs, that he stopped but he suspects she has not stopped. I don't know if he is saying this to gain sympathy and how much of it is true. Up until a few weeks ago my stepson was living in their house and he claims that he never saw anyone take drugs other than ibprofen, but I don't know if he's trying to protect her. I am considering buying a drug test from the pharmacy and asking her to take it, but beyond that I don't know what to do. If her new friends are lousy influence, perhaps her decision to break up her family has more to do with them and drugs and if we could get her away from them she might change her attitude. How do we go about an intervention? If she's taking drugs, she is endangering her children AND she could become addicted....
