How often do your kids call you by your first name?

My children have each called me by my first name once. I very quickly explained that is not acceptable at all to call me by my first name. I don't think it has ever happened that they were trying to get my attention that bad that they would need to use my first name. Maybe try answering your child when he needs your attention. If you at least respond to him and let him know that you know he wants your attention he should be able to wait for a few min at most.
