Should you celebrate Father's Day with a husband you're separated from?

My husband and I have been separated for about 8 months after 8 years of marriage. He's the one who left and for reasons I still don't completely understand. We have been working on our relationship but it's still rocky with episodes of him not speaking to me or my 13 year old son (his stepson). He used to be very close to my son until he pretty much deserted him. He hasn't spoken to or seen his stepson in over a month and that was very brief with an incident of my husband telling me he's not going to pay for the braces he needs..that his real dad can pay for it (which his real dad pays for 1/2 of everything already). He actually had the nerve to be upset about not receiving a Father's Day card! He feels that since he's still allowing me access to the checking account and providing for me and my son that he should have been acknowledged. Am I crazy for thinking he's completely wrong?
