I am 29 and looking to meet likeminded people, perhaps start up a book club or something?

I am looking to meet some new people for chats and just a general social time. I am not a drinker or a clubber so hoping to meet people in my area who are interested in things like books, films etc. I was wondering about maybe a book club? Or just a time to have a cupper and a chat about life in general. I am 29, married with a 9 year old stepson, I can be shy at first but nice I get to know people I am friendly and pretty loyal, I like to think I can be a good friend. I guess I am underconfident, which means making friends is difficult for me. Maybe you are someone in a similar situation, I am only looking for friends nothing else and please only serious replies. It was just a thought. I live in the Gloucestershire area. If there is anyone interested, answer and we will try and so something out
